Spray systems based on polyurethane serve as wear and corrosion protection for metals and, depending on the degree of hardness, have a slip-resistant and even sound-insulating effect. Tailored to the respective application, the 2-component spraying systems can be adapted from tough and hard to highly elastic.
Even without environmentally harmful plasticizers the coatings are very durable. The material is used in bridge construction, for ramps or as anti-slip coverings. The basic material can be dyed in any desired colour and, if necessary, later be coated with a weatherproof and lightfast aliphatic topcoat.
In general, it is also possible to combine different materials made of polyurethane in one step. For example, a spray elastomer can be directly back-foamed with a polyurethane soft foam without the neccessity to treat the products with primers or solvents. Additionally, it is always possible to add further additives like flame retardants or anti-static optimiziers.
