When moored in bays or harbors, ram protection strips made of compact elastomers prevent boats from hitting the quay walls or neighboring boats too hard. A bow lined with light rigid foam prevents it from filling with water and thus becoming a hazard. In the same way, utility water tanks can be secured against slipping.

Comfortable polyurethane soft foam is used for benches or mattresses and can be easily covered with any required fabric. Pieces of furniture such as table tops, cabinet doors or stair cladding can be made of hard polyurethane integral material. The advantage here is the great design freedom and high stability of the material.
